2. Using our website

You may browse our website and use our forms (registration, contact, and store) for their intended purpose — learning about the institute, applying to study with us, and buying books. You agree not to:

• attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with our security measures, including the anti-abuse checks on our forms;
• submit false or misleading information on our registration, contact, or checkout forms;
• use the website in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it, or interfere with anyone else's use of it; or
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website, including staff-only areas.

3. Content and intellectual property

The text of the Qur'ān and classical works on Tajwīd and Qirāʾāt referenced or quoted on this website are not our property — they belong to the Ummah, or to their respective authors, translators, and publishers, as applicable. We make no claim of ownership over them.

Everything else on this website that we have created — including our written copy, course descriptions, photography, and branding — belongs to Al-Maqari Al-Qur'aniyyah UK, or is used with the permission of its owner. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use, but you may not otherwise copy, reproduce, or republish our content without our written permission.

4. Registering and applying to study with us

Submitting the registration form is an application, not a guarantee of a place. We will assess your application, which may include an interview, and let you know our decision by email. Please make sure the information you give us — including, where relevant, information about a child you are registering through the Young Ḥuffādh pathway — is accurate and kept up to date.

5. Links and embedded content

Our website may link to, or embed content from, third-party sites such as YouTube (using its privacy-enhanced, cookie-reduced player) or our social media pages. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those third-party sites.

6. No warranty

We do our best to keep this website accurate and available, but it is provided "as is". Content on the website — including course, fee, and programme information — is provided for general guidance and may change. Nothing on this website constitutes legal, financial, or professional advice.

7. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else which the law does not allow us to limit or exclude. Store Terms of Sale

This part applies whenever you buy a book through our online store. It sits alongside, and does not replace, Part A above.

9. Our contract with you

Placing an order and paying is an offer to buy. Your order is held as pending until your payment is confirmed by our payment provider, Stripe; a contract between us is only formed once payment is confirmed, at which point we will email you an order confirmation. We may decline an order — for example, if a book has gone out of stock in the meantime — in which case we will let you know and refund any payment taken.

10. Prices and payment

All prices on our store are shown in pounds sterling (GBP), [CONFIRM: whether prices are stated as inclusive of VAT, or whether VAT is added at checkout — and our VAT registration number, if registered]. We take reasonable care to ensure prices are correct, but if we discover a pricing error on an order we haven't yet confirmed, we will contact you before proceeding.

Payment is taken securely through Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.

11. Delivery

We currently deliver within the UK only. See our Delivery & Returns page for delivery charges and timescales.

12. Your right to cancel

Because you are a consumer buying at a distance, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 give you the right to cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of receiving your goods, without needing to give a reason.

To cancel, email admissions@almaqariuk.com with your order reference. See our Delivery & Returns page for how to send the item back and how refunds are issued.

13. Faulty or damaged goods

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 — for example, your right to a repair, replacement, or refund if a book arrives faulty, damaged, or not as described.

14. Statutory rights

These terms do not affect your other statutory rights as a consumer.

15. Governing law

These store terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. As a consumer, you may bring any dispute in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom in which you live, or the courts of England and Wales.
